1: High Speed Patrol Boat

1: High Speed Patrol Boat

Specification: The customer specified a boat that could reach speeds in excess of 35 Kts. It needed to be operated by a crew of 3, have seating for 10 passengers and be able to sleep up to 8.

Solution: We used a Camarc-designed high speed planing monohull with 2 x MTU 10V 2000 engines fitted through a gearbox to 2 x fixed pitch propellers. The boat was built to UKMCA code for workboats Category 2, to operate up to 60 nm from a safe haven, and was fitted with a Caterpillar C2.2 22 kVA generator, air conditioning and 8 berths.

2: High Speed Multi-Role Boat

2: High Speed Multi-Role Boat

Specification: The client needed a small, multi-role boat with a speed of 40+ Kts, designed to operate in the Gulf region for transfer of personnel, medical evacuations and diving operations.

Solution: We used a high speed catamaran hull designed by BMT Nigel Gee, with 2 x Cummins QSC 8.3 600HP engines fitted through a gearbox to 2 x Rolls Royce Kamewa A32 water jets. The boat was built to UKMCA Category 3, with a Fischer Panda 10Kw generator and air conditioning.

Specification: A UK University needed a boat to be used by graduates for survey work and evaluation of new marine technologies.

Solution: We designed a survey & research catamaran hull for this project, with 2 x Cummins QSM11-610 engines fitted through a gearbox to 2 x fixed pitch propellers. The boat was built to UKMCA Code of Practice for the Safety of Small Workboats.
