Alnmaritec Hull Designs
Alnmaritec has developed a set of highly successful proprietary hull forms and although a number of our specialised boats have unique hull shapes the majority of our designs are based upon these standard hull forms. Whilst the topside arrangements are customised to meet individual requirements the use of well proven hull forms in our designs means that we know that all our boats will perform at the very highest level.
Alnmaritec hull forms are optimised through careful evaluation of trials and in-service data together with model testing and computational fluid dynamics as part of an ongoing development programme with the Hydrodynamics Department at Newcastle University. Catamarans
High Speed Planing Catamaran
Alnmaritec’s range of high speed planing catamarans is based upon the successful ‘Wave Train’ hull form. This is an asymmetric catamaran hull form which has fine forward sections developing into medium deadrise single chine form aft. This allows the vessel to plane for high speed operations, it is very stable, it gives excellent sea keeping characteristics and with waterjet drive it offers a shallow draft.

Displacement Catamaran
Alnmaritec’s range of displacement catamarans is based upon the well known ‘Twin-Trak’ hull form. This symmetric catamaran hull has moderate deadrise aft developing into a ramped bow and is normally fitted with forward skegs which act as beaching skids. It has been developed to provide a large stable platform capable of carrying high payloads at displacement speeds with a shallow draft and is an ideal mounting platform for deck cranes and other lifting gear.

High Speed Deep Vee Catamaran
Alnmaritec’s newly developed deep vee displacement catamaran hull known as the ‘Wave Length’ hull form is a symmetric catamaran with a very fine entry. The design has been optimised using computational fluid dynamic modelling and physical tank testing particularly for low resistance and low wash as well as for good sea keeping characteristics. Custom propellers have also been designed to specifically match the hull form and assist in providing an exceptional perfiormance.

Monohulls
High Speed Mono-Hull
Alnmaritec’s range of high speed monohulls is based upon the well established ‘Wave Crest’ hull form. This single chine hull form has fine forward sections developing into medium deadrise aft. This allows the vessel to plane for high speed operations and provides excellent sea keeping characteristics. When fitted with a waterjet drive it offers a shallow draft and has a beaching capability.

Shallow Draft Planing Vessel
Alnmaritec’s range of shallow draft planing vessels is based upon the versatile ‘Wave Line’ hull form. This hull form has shallow deadrise aft developing into medium deadrise forward sections. The hull is designed to maximise planing area whilst minimising draft and giving a low wash profile which makes it ideal for use in harbours, estuaries and rivers. It has a very shallow draft, is very stable and it is capable of beaching.

Displacement Landing Craft

This hull form has shallow deadrise aft developing into a ramped bow forward fitted with keel skegs for beaching protection. It provides a rugged and seaworthy vessel with excellent payload capacity, with a shallow draft and a beaching capability.
