'Ocean Wind 5' is a variant of the popular Wave Commander class from Alnmaritec. She is fitted with twin Scania DI16 engines giving her cruising speeds of over 24 knots. On deck she is fitted with a payload area both fore and aft, a substantial moon pool; internally she has a survey station and comfortable accommodation for both passengers and crew. She has a separate raised wheelhouse area providing excellent all round views from the helm position whilst in the main accommodation she has seating for 12 pax, mess area, galley and WC; below decks she has two sleeping cabins. She is designed with the versatility to allow her to provide offshore support on windfarms, for survey work, for ROV and dive support. She is a genuine all rounder and a real brute of a boat as she demonstrated with exceptional sea keeping performance during her trials on the North Sea in January!!

This unique version of the popular ‘Wave Ranger’ class from Alnmaritec was designed by Camarc Limited for a specific role to transport persons from a Pilot Station Vessel to sea going ships and vice versa in the Port of Antwerp. The FLC is launched and recovered frequently from the Pilot Station Vessel and she is fitted with a single point lift. She is designed to operate in significant wave heights of up to 2.5m and during pilotage operations it was required that the FLC have excellent manoeuvring capabilities for going alongside other vessels. The resulting boat is exceptionally robust and extremely seaworthy, she is self righting providing a very safe working environment and she has an excellent turn of speed. Three of these have now been delivered for operations in Antwerp.

The ‘Aberlour’ is the first of the exciting new Wave Diver class boats to be delivered by Alnmaritec. This new dive support boat, which was designed by Camarc Limited, carries a full surface dive fit with integral bottle storage and dive panel with a customised dive platform, dive ladder and diver recovery A-frame at the aft end. She is designed to be self righting and classed as MCA category 1 making her capable of operating in the harsh conditions to be expected in the North Sea and with her twin 610bhp engines coupled to the waterjets she is a powerful boat with an excellent turn of speed. She has twin Henriksen release hooks to allow her to be davit launched from a mother vessel and in the forward cabin she has a full survey suite. She has two generators and her versatile main saloon is designed to either accommodate three additional surveyor stations or convert into seating for crew transfer duties. She is a rugged and truly versatile workhorse.

These two new ‘Wave Skimmer’ class boats are off to Asia to serve on a refinery terminal . The new class is an innovative design which was developed in conjunction with Elastec; it has a hydraulically operated garbage scoop at the bow for floating waste collection which can deposit up to two cubic metres into a removable skip on deck. In addition to trash recovery the boats have proprietary dynamic oil collection chambers matched with Elastec skimmers for oil recovery. The boats are fitted with 5m3 of recovered oil storage capacity together with a ballast system that ensures their trim remains optimal at all stages of the oil recovery. The propulsion package consists of two inboard 115 bhp diesel engines driving Hamilton 213 waterjets that give the boat exceptional manoeuvrability as we all as a shallow draft which make her ideal for working in confined and awkward waters. She is very robustly built to take the bumps and scrapes that will inevitably come with the work she is designed to carry out and she will make a very versatile addition to any harbour fleet.

The ‘Dalby Esk’ is the second of the highly successful Wave Master class of Wind farm support boats to be delivered by Alnmaritec. This new version has a two tier wheelhouse with an upper survey station as well as sleeping accommodation for four crew in the lower berths and comfortable day accommodation for 12 in the main saloon. Powered by twin MTU 10V2000 engines with twin hydraulic bow thrusters she is very manoeuvrable, she has an excellent turn of speed and she cruises comfortably at over 25 knots providing a smooth ride with her well proven sea keeping characteristics. She has a 6.5 tonne metre deck crane for cargo handling as well as a fuel transfer system to allow her to offer site re-fuelling services and she is fitted with an array of the latest electronic equipment including a satellite ‘man-finder’ tracking system, 3-D sea bed profiling as well as radar, AIS, GPS, Chart plotter, WI-Fi internet and Satellite TV.

This unusual boat is one of the Alnmaritec Wave Modular class of pontoon catamarans and she can be disassembled and fitted completely within two standard 40 ft containers for transport world wide. She can carry a payload of 17 tonnes and can reach speeds of 10 knots with her twin outboards which are fitted on electrically operated slides to move up and down according to the boat’s draft. She is also fitted with a twin ballast tank system to allow for operation with different payload conditions. She has a bolted wheelhouse shelter with the engine controls, VHF and light switches and she has removable hand rails all round to allow for ease of access. She has twin full length skegs on her hull bottom to allow for beaching and these are fitted with HDPE sheet to facilitate sliding the pontoons in and out of the containers. Her design is optimised around rapid assembly with the bare minimum of mechanical assistance (a fork lift) which makes her an ideal tool for her role in support of shallow water trenching operations in remote parts of the world.
